Non Paying Customers

The purpose of this page is to warn other professional researchers of Non-Paying customers.  Fortunately, I only have one customer who has chosen not to pay for the research I did for him. 

Brian Curtis, of Chillicothe, OH initially requested that I do 10 hours of research for him on his Collins/Spradlin ancestors.  After spending 10 hours researching on his behalf; and making substantial progress, he requested that I do an additional 10 hours of research to take the lines further back.  I did an abundant amount of research, found many records; including various census records, marriages, death records, cemetery records, and much more.  I took extra time on my own, to enter the findings into an family tree program, in order to print out nice pedigree charts and family group sheets.  I then took extra time to bind everything together, in book form, using my comb binder; making a nice presentation of all of the findings, charts, etc.  After many phone calls, and numerous promises that payment was mailed; I have yet to receive a check for those last 10 hours of research.  It has been nearly two months since I mailed my findings to him; and it has become apparent to me that Brian has no intentions of paying for the services he requested.
