I have 3 books in this set titled "Genealogical Abstracts From Tennessee Newspapers".  The first covers newspaper abstracts from 1791-1808.  The second covers 1803-1812.  The third covers 1821-1828.  These were compiled by Sherida K. Eddlemon, and published by Heritage Books, Inc.  As stated in the Preface of these books, "Tennessee became a State in 1796, but there is no complete census extant until 1830.  Therefore, these early newspapers are a genealogical gold mine."  These books contain a great deal of information regarding the Tennessee's earliest settlers.
