Quoting from the introduction "During the colonial and Revolutionary War periods there was considerable movement in this country and many Marylanders were recorded as having ""gone to Carolina.""  Whether it was for religious, economic, military or other personal reasons, we find Marylanders migrating south into Virginia and the Carolinas".
